Dear Colin Jackson
Forgive me if I have already asked this question, but I thought that it was worth another go! I have several family members buried at Christchurch, Linton, and I notice that the photographs on the South Derbyshire BDM website show their graves have been decorated with a Christmas type wreath. I visited Linton this year and, indeed, the wreaths were still on the graves, but they had been changed to different ones, leading me to believe that someone fairly local was tending their graves. There are no other embellishments on any other grave. Indeed the graveyard is quite unkempt. So why is someone taking the trouble to lay wreaths on the graves of the Glover family? If this is a relative then I would dearly love to make contact, as I am researching my family tree, and the Glovers are proving very elusive! If anyone has any information, I would be grateful. Carol

Hi my name is Susan Matthews nee' Glover. My parents Sarah Elizabeth & Alfred John Glover are buried in Christ Church Linton. Their grave was looked after by my late Brother Peter David Glover.
My sister in law Teresa Glover still tends to the grave. She reports that the Church yard is very over grown & unkempt. At one stage sheep were grazing on the long grass. I am researching my family tree Glover/Peck from Linton. Susan .

I have been trying again to find out information on the person who has been placing Christmas wreaths on the graves of the Glover family in Christ Church, Linton churchyard. My relatives are from John Glover 1833 - 1894 and Emily Webster 1831 - 1915. Could it be your sister-in-law who is placing these wreaths on the graves? Is there a connection between Alfred John Glover and Joseph Glover 1854 - 1911? Do you know who Alfred John Glover's grandparents were? I would love to find out more about the family if you have any information. I hope this post finds you! Please contact me even if you have no information. Thank you Carol Brown
