Also i see you have Storer in your tree ..My Aunty Tess (as we knew her ...she was christened something else) married a Leslie storer and had two children...any connection there???

Hi,
I know little of my Dawes Family to be honest - my 2XGreat Grandma was Agnes Emma Dawes, born 26 Jul 1875 on Coppicesdie, her parents were John Dawes and Mary nee Clamp. John and Mary had married on 17th May 1875. I am unaware of how old John was as it just gives 'full age' but Mary was only 17!
As far as i am aware John died between 1875 and 1881 when Mary is living with a William Johnson on Coppiceside, with whom she has a baby daughter. The couple later marry and have a large family together. I can only find 1 death for a John Dawes - that is he died in Jun quarter 1878 in Hartshorne. I know from the marriage certificate that John's father was Charles Dawes.
Could this be any relation?
Storer - my 3xGreat Grandad's sister was Ann Frettsome who married Joseph Storer, of Desford, Leics, in about 1874. They had 6 children - Alice b.1875 Desford, Fanny Mary b.1876 and Ada Jane in 1880 both born in Church Gresley. Walter 1882 born Swain's Park and Oliver 1884 and Albert 1886 both born in Shellbrook. Joseph died between 1886-1891. Ann remarried in 1891 to Thomas Scott Limm (from Aberdeen) and they had 3 children - Robert William 1891, George A 1893 and Agnes Storer Limm 1895-1897.
Hope this helps and there might be a connection.
regards, Carrianne

Carrianne,
I was interested by your information on Ann Frettsome, do you have any other connection to the Frettsome family?
As for the Storer family, I think Robert William was actually registered as Robert William Storer (Birth Register 1891 Q2 Burton 6b 400), and I think the Ann and Thomas didn't marry until 1912 (Marriage Register 1912 Q3 Tamworth 6b 840).
The Frettsome name comes into my family through my wife, and is 'very' small in numbers, initially concentrated in Leicestershire later into Nottinghamshire, though now spread, very thinly, across most of the country.
If I can be of any help please contact me.
Regards
Andrew Piper
