Hi Looking for info on my g grandparents Joseph Truman( son of Jesse) who married Mahalah Redfern in1902(daughter of James & Eliza ?? ) Also looking for info on Robert Cyril Baker DOD 1961 ( from Church Gresley) He had a brother Lionel. trying to find names of his parents to trace back that line of tree. Families are all from Newhall, Swad, Woodville and Church Gresley.
Hi, I think that Mahalah Redfern was the younger sister of Mary Ann Redfern who married Joseph Gutteridge in 1886. Joseph was my g-grandpa's brother. I've traced James and Eliza to Worksop but can't find them in the 1891 census at the moment. I've also found that Eliza went back to Worksop area after James died. Cheers

I also have some Truman's in my Tree - My Great-Grandma's sister Mary Elizabeth Dawes (Polly) married Arthur Jesse Truman, son of Jesse and Ellen, in 1911 and had 2 children. Arthur & Polly lived on Coppiceside, Swadlincote.
I have 8 children for Jesse and Ellen and also have some info on these childrens marriages/offspring and some census info.
Mahala Redfern was the older sister of Mary Ann Redfern.
Mahala born in 1882, married Joseph Thomas Truman, son of jesse truman, on the 4th August 1902, she was a dressmaker he was a bootmaker. They had 2 children, Alfred, baptised on the 3rd April 1904 and Constance Ellen, bap on the 1st September 1907, they lived at 143, Swadlincote Road Woodville. Mahala had 7 brothers and sisters in all, and her parents were James and Eliza Redfern.
