Hi,
My main interests are from Newhall area:
Wildin Redfern Illsley
My G G Grandfather Daniel Wildin left Newhall in 1851 with Martha Redfern, daughter of Henry Illsley. He had a brother William (1812 - 1845) who did stay in the area and had many children.
My G G G Grandfather is William Wildin moved into the area in about 1815 but I do not have any baptism, marriage or death record for him. I do know he married Sarah Shore from Stoke and he died between 1829 and 1841.
I am looking for an clues of the Wildin's about this time.
William did part-own Newhall (Lower Midway) pottery between 1820 - 1835, known as Floyd, Till and Wildin Pottery.
Floyd is Charles Floyd (1780-1837) and Till is Herbert Till (1800-1860).
Any further information about this business would be useful.
Thanks
Andrew

Andrew,
I don't know whether this is of any help, but there were Wildins at Barton under Needwood in the early 1800's (and earlier). I have a list of heads of households for Barton of around 1770 taken from the Wilmot Horton family papers at Derbys Record Office. This includes a Jos. Welden and a Robt Wilden. The 1841 Census for Barton also includes Weldin entries. My family tree includes Mewis (aka Meuse, Muse etc) from Barton
I also have Redferns in my family tree. My G G grandmother was Elizabeth Redfern (1822 - 1893) b. Moira, d/o William Redfern and Tamar (nee Dennis). Elizabeth married Thomas Liversuch - they lived at Church Gresley. William and Thomas were miners.
Regards
Elaine

Thanks Elaine.
I have spotted Ann Wildin (widow) from Barton (daughter of Thomas Zolman) who married Michael Wooley on 8 Apr 1839. I think she was married to Edward Wildin from Barton previously. But can not pinpoint any Williams.
